Mine are: Madraykin Nin - Madraykin = my favourite song by my favourite band Queen AdreenaNin = Anais Nin, my favourite author Medea Louvel - Medea = character from a myth Louvel = meaning little wolf, as she was going to have a wolf pet before I found a lynx and found it much cuter Thea Reveur- I decided she looked Creole, so I wanted something French-ish… and I watched the film ‘The Dreamers’ - Theo is a character, and Reveur means dreamer Djuna Nephthys- Djuna = character of an Anais Nin novel I always loved Nephthys = Egyptian goddess of nature and death, which I thought suited a Rt Twisted Sister Leah will be deleted I think, but she was made as part of a tradition among my GW friends, as we don’t have a guild but instead go by the name of Twisted Sisters. I also had a warrior called Daisy Chainsaw after a band, but I didn’t like playing a fighter. She was re-incarnated in factions as Daisy Cheng, but I still didn’t like her Then there was my Ele Ara Tithon - Ara being the star of the goddess Aurora, and Tithonus her lover. She was too much of a Barbie however, and so was deleted too. (yes, I definitely think too much about naming...)

Where do your character names comes from? Is there a theme (yes Reg, we noticed yours )? Or are they just random? Fulfil my curiosity please! Why I play only female characters is the subject of an other topic, let's just settle I do. Let the loudest bunny answer first. Amy Washburn: Hoban "Wash" Washburne is my favourite character in the Firefly TV series. Amy came as a cool name. Michelle Diamonds: my exgirlfriend was (and still is) a Beatles fan. She had characters named after Beatles songs. She created Lucy Of The Sky, and so I created Michelle Diamonds she can be with. (We played with our characters together. I actually bought a second acc because I needed slots I play with when she's not playing.) Carnivore Cassie: well, my exgirlfriend came up with the name (also with the look). The coolest name's credits are hers. Yellow Iris Flower: I have no fantasy, and Red Iris Flower was taken. Sakaki Yuu Asakawa: Sakaki is my favourite character in Azumanga Daioh - and Yuu Asakawa was her seiyuu (dub actor). Doctor Wabbit: She's a monk (so a doctor). She's a rabbit. So she's Doctor Wabbit. Narf! Edna The Yakhunter: I dunno where Edna came (oh yes. female name that's close to Edem), the Yakhunter is a pun against Apoletta Black (an AMP member who thinks herself a yak). Edem No Usagi: it literally means Edem's Rabbit. See how uncreative I am? Daughter of Anansi, Harvester of Anansi: Anansi is an african trickster god, often picted as half-man, half-spider (or fully a spider). If they get a pet, guess what it would be? Yes, a crocodile and a Jahai Rat. Any questions? Free The Fur: it's the name of the Ranger profession quest in Shing Jea... Storage P Us: because Storage R Us was taken, and this chara is a paragon... I admit I'm uncreative.

Alphonse Constant - He was a priest... but he... decided to turn to... other stuff. A mighty occultist, he was... Swordfish Dive: many reasons... one: manga; two: swordfish is the universal password, as Mr Pratchett says; three: I come up with strange names... Mr Jonathan Teatime - Pratchett character, assassin, cute but psycho. Ella Saturday is a Terry Pratchett character as well. She is the pratchettian Cinderella in Witches Abroad. Julian Mayfair: Anne Rice hero, tho I realized too late that it was Julien, but then it was too late, because it was already taken. Well, who cares? Lucius Wardlock: Rosa supplied Lucius, because she likes the name... and I took it because I like it too... and I wanted to find him a suitable surname, and... I must admit, I did think about HP, so... he became a Wardlock. Seventy Hour Ahmed: pratchettian chara, but his name got shorter by one, because, unfortunately, it wouldn't fit otherswise. He's a d'reg. Vicious little bugger. Bloody S Johnson: name stands for Bloody Stupid Johnson... also a pratchettian character... surprisingly. I wanted a bloody stupid warrior... so I got him. A J Crowley, besides the obvious, is named after a demon from Good Omens, a book written by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. Surprised?

Mine are realy simple tbh My first: Miss Celestine, comes from a Warhammer 40k hero, in the witch hunter part, the name " Saint Celestine " so simple, that name as nearly on every char just not every 1 in Celestine, but also with Celestia and Celesty, either they are first name or last name, normally last name tho, so i had to think of some first names wich was easy too, to that tbh where my names comes fro

I don't know what to say... A monk of clearly Tibettan origin who's called Reg? Cracks me up every time - I'm a big fan of absurdity. As you all have noticed, all my characters first names consist of three letters, the first of which is always 'R'. This tradition is kept so that I am always easily identifyable ingame, and because it's a fun challenge to come up with a new one every time. The girls' names are particularly difficult... The suffix of each character's name is a simple description of their personality. If the most appropriate word doesn't immediately pop into my head, I trawl the dictionary until I find a good one So here's the breakdown (All definitions obtained from the Oxford English Dictionary): [glow=red,2,300]Reg the Righteous, Male Tibettan Monk[/glow]. Righteous: 1. a. Of persons: Just, upright, virtuous; guiltless, sinless; conforming to the standard of the divine or the moral law; acting rightly or justly. [glow=red,2,300]Ron the Ruthless, Male Caucasian Warrior.[/glow] Ruthless: Devoid of pity or compassion; pitiless, unsparing, merciless. [glow=red,2,300]Rei the Reprobate, Female Latina Elementalist.[/glow] Reprobate: Of abandoned character; lost to all sense of religious or moral obligation; unprincipled. {dag}2. Depraved, degraded, morally corrupt. Obs. [glow=red,2,300]Rii the Ravishing, Female Japanese Assassin.[/glow] Ravishing: {dag}2. Seizing upon prey; ravenous. Obs. 4. In trivial use: very attractive, delightful. [glow=red,2,300]Rya the Radiant, Female Chinese Mesmer.[/glow] Radiant: Issuing or appearing in the form of rays (of light); hence, bright, shining, splendid. Also transf. of qualities, as beauty. [glow=red,2,300]Ray the Resolute, Male African Paragon.[/glow] Resolute: Of persons, their minds, etc.: Determined, having a fixed resolve, constant, firm: a. Const. against, for, in, {dag}to, {dag}upon, and with inf. Of actions, etc.: Characterized by determination or firmness of purpose. And finally, occasionally appearing as a PvP only character, I wanted the name of someone who appears to be a lethal, unstoppable force, but who in reality can be brushed aside like a speck of dust. If any of you have seen the Episode of season 1 of South park 'Mecha Streisand', you may recall the actor Sydney Poitier transforms into a 100 foot metal turtle (Mega Poitier) to combat the rampaging Mecha Barbara Streisand. He blasts into combat on rocket jets, only to be slammed into a mountain by the Jewish Diva within the first 3 seconds of combat. Hence my PvP character 'Mega Poitier', or 'Mega S Poitier' thanks to the namestealers is always black, angry looking and dressed in green.

Well.. mine have very strange origins... to begin with:
Rosa Atra - it's a nickname I constantly use online since secondary school. Latin origin, my own translation (oh, I was so proud of it when I was 16...), it means black rose.
Lady Sigil - name of one of my rpg characters, but actually it comes from planescape. I couldn't name any chara Lady of Pain, who is the ruler of the city called Sigil, so I shortened it. Sigil btw, is the city of portals, connecting every world/plane. It's on the inner side of a donut shaped thingy. Full of demons, angels and other planar creatures. Very chaotic, but it has a nice aura...
Celestial Rage - he's a storage chara, but started out as my first try to be an elementalist. The name is a joke from some webpage where strange babynames are laughed at. Cardinal Sin was taken.
Deva Mahakali - well, i wanted Shiva Nataraja for my dervish, but alas, it was already taken, so I stuck to the hindu origin thing. Deva means god, Maha means great, and Kali is the goddess of death and time, plus the daughter of Shiva.
Haylal Ben Shahar - hebrew origin, actually, it's written Heylel in english, the name means "shiner, son of dawn", mostly he's regarded to be the Devil himself (a.k.a. Lucifer) by the Christians. Name fits a paragon. ^^
Raz Or Blade - second storage chara, I was out of good names, and this just came as a pun.
Mr A Ziraphael - pratchettian chara, from good omens. He's the angel, and also a rare book dealer. he's a ritualist, and we used to fight together with Crowley.
and last but not least: Umbra Solis - my mesmer in Cantha, latin name, means shadow of the sun. Never got too far with him.

Kravan Astor - Mo/* My main, was suppose to be Khardek Castor but i shortened it. Reifer Helorim - As/R my little asian guy, Reifer cause it sounded like a ninja name. Runa Sky - D/R my new .... dont know whaqt he is O.o, it a name that sounded nice at the time (was suppose to be luna sky but..) Alexis Helorim - i like alexis for some reason... dual gender names are hard to come by... These are all names i came up with that im going to use in a little story i have in my tiny head totally made up and put together. Big Kay - Because I am The Rune Keeper - Because she is .

A pattern?? In my names? Never Brass Phoenix : Ele/War Phoenix is my favourite skill ^_^. This character also has a habit of dieing in PvP, only to be rezzed and one shot a guy in the back: Rise of the Phoenix Brass Deciever : Me/War So called because he snuck his way across Tyria when my flatmates weren't looking. *sneak*sneak*sneak* Brass Panther : Ass/War Hides in the long grass and rips your throat out. Brass Seraph : Pa/War ... hey I'm not the only guy to name his paragon after angels! You might have noticed they all have warrior secondaries. You see, I really like the warrior skill sets, and playing as a warrior, and I like the warrior armour. I just don't like the warrior character model. It's my never ending quest to find a warrior that isn't a warrior.

I only have 1 character worth mentioning....
ZAPIE MOO WANG: Zapie actually a adapted version of 'sapi' (which means cow in indonesian) Moo is a sound that cow usually make, and Wang is usually that differs between a cow and a Bull.

Might not be a bunny, though i figured i'd just have a go ;D
Well i pretty much have a logical system for my character naming's. As my nickname is Dragonius (or Drag' for short), all of my chars are named so, except for additional letters added representing their actual main profession, examples;
Dragonius X, my main and first char, an Ele Dragonius Xm (only 2 professions in GW so far starting with an M, mesmer and monk, in this case she's a monk and my Mesmer's called Dragonius Xme) Dragonius Xw (jup you guess it right, a warrior) Dragonius Xr (Ranger, my rit's Dragonius Xri >.>) Dragonius Xa (my 'Sin) And to avoid sounding like an operating system i named my paragon Blaze of Judgement ^^
Dragonius Xp just didnt sound right in my opinion.
